Stolen Quote: Flowers

For myself I hold no preferences among flowers, so long as they are wild, free, spontaneous. Bricks to all greenhouses! Black thumb and cutworm to the potted plant! ~ Edward Abbey, Author

I sure wish my wife would let me hire this man, as our gardener.

  1. I have to agree with Edward, flowers still attached to their stems and the ground are the best kind. That said, I admit I am fond of my chain-blooming orchid and potted lime tree, flowers and green to carry me through winter when there are none outside. 🙂

  2. My husband still brings me in flowers from the field and like a good woman I put them in a glass with some water without the heart to tell him they are weeds – after all he picked them for me because they are wild and free.
