Stolen Quote: Dishes

Everybody wants to save the world, but nobody wants to help mom with the dishes. ~ P. J. O’Rourke

Maybe the journey toward saving the world begins with the first clean dish.

  1. I think it was Mother Theresa that said “We cannot do great things, only small things with great love.” A momentous task like saving the world is too daunting to attempt, so we don’t. And the things we actually can do seem too small to make a difference, so we don’t. We’re lazy, we make excuses, then we take a nap–boiled down, that’s life. 🙂

    1. Wow, what a crazy coincidence–I have that Mother Teresa quote scheduled for tomorrow. You must have second sight.

But yes, it’s true. Great things are too daunting, and why do anything small if it’s going to interfere with a nap? Although maybe if I took a small nap with great love, that would be great.
